Our Nature Awareness Home School Programs offer students the unique opportunity to interact with their natural environment through real-life and creative ways that are adventurous, challenging, exciting, and a lot of fun. A core principle behind the program is to provide quality "dirt-time" experiences that allow learning about nature to happen by interacting with it. Our classroom is the forest, ocean, desert and mountains. Our teachers are the coyotes, birds, shifting winds, and the people who make up our tribe of explorers. Utilizing both scientific and indigenous studies and through hands-on outdoor experiences, students develop fundamental naturalist knowledge, awareness skills, stewardship abilities, and a personal relationship to the natural environment. This full immersion program facilitates a growing confidence and competence that will serve as a foundation for students' realization that they are not separate from the natural world and their actions can make a positive difference.

The Coast Side Explorers program will offer students a great opportunity to interact with the unique coastal environment through outdoor adventures that are challenging, exciting, and a lot of fun. A core principle behind the program is to provide quality "dirt-time" experiences that allow learning about nature to happen by interacting with it. Utilizing both scientific and indigenous studies and through hands-on outdoor experiences, students develop fundamental naturalist knowledge, awareness skills, stewardship abilities, and personal relationships to the natural environment.

• Where: Pescadero Marsh Natural Preserve
• Who: 9 - 13 year olds

The Surf City Nature Explorers program will offer students a great opportunity to interact with the unique coastal environment through outdoor adventures that are challenging, exciting, and a lot of fun. A core principle behind the program is to provide quality "dirt-time" experiences that allow learning about nature to happen by interacting with it. This unique program will combine nature awareness training, science-based natural history, indigenous studies, wildlife inventory mapping, and hands-on survival skills to create deep connections with nature.

• When: 15 weeks every Thursday, February 15 - May 31, 9am-3pm
• Where: Wilder Ranch State Park
• Who: 9 - 13 year olds
• Cost: $825. (Partial scholarships are available and are offered according to student needs)

• When: Fridays for teens and Tuesdays for pre-teens from 9am-3pm and Fridays 9am-1pm for youngsters.
• Where: Huddart Park in Woodside with field trips and campouts to various locations.
• Who: Youngsters (6-8 yrs. old), Pre-teen (9-13 yrs. old) and Teen (13-18 yrs. old)
• Cost: $550 for Youngsters, $825 for Pre-teen and $925 for Teen per 15 week semester, $50 discounts available if you sign up for entire year. Teen Program includes more trips and overnights.
